Replacements started the game with some intense offense, Replacements pushing the ball inside with some drives, fast breaks and bigs going to work, the MIC game was mid range and 3s, the FG% at the Quarter was MIC 11% t 70% Replacements base don shot selection, it was 20-8 at this point, MIC trying to adjust to avoiding fouls on reach ins. Brendan had 6pts 4 rebs 2 asts and James F and Ray on 5, whilst MIC got Dendi to notch 5 points looking for more help with the scoring, but the shots weren’t falling…
THe 2nd started with the same hustle as first half, Brendan kept pushing the ball to the bucket and getting MIC to reach in and get fouled, allowing him to hit 16 points, 14/15 freethrows in the game so far along with 6rebs. MIC had a not so great time on both ends, with their fouls giving free throws and their jump shots not landing, (14% FG) vs Replacements’ 41%, an extra 6 rebounds helped also. Dendi had 7 to finish the half, the rest of the MIC crew still reaching for more, Replacements finished the quarter on a 19-6 run! 34-14 Replacements …MIC need some buckets, hopefully in the 2nd half!
22-19 Was the score in the 3rd quarter with MIC going on a quick and amazing 3 point run hitting 4 threes including 3 from Dendi who had 16 so far in the game, Jeff dished out some nice dimes for 5 running assists, but the Replacements crew were busy at the free throw line and was able to maintian the lead going into the final quarter
The 4th quarter was like expected, the trailing team playing catch up hoping someone will get hot, putting up some 3s to help spark a run, but it never came, Replacements constant in their attack inside getting to the line to close the deal, the summary of the game was the FG%..Replacement 48% MIC 33% as well as getting to the line and hittin 71% of their free throws. MICs long game wasnt as effective due to the close defense and the grind resulted in a Replacements Div2 victory in the finals.
Notable Performances in the game from MIC was Ning Wang (Dendi) with 21 points shooting 45% from 3 with some nice bombs to quite the Replacements crowd Lin (HCL) had a solid all round game, 11 points 6ast 2 steals as Yang led in the boards for 6, great effort from the MIC crew! Replacements had some great numbers especially Brendan W with 27pts 11rebs & 4assists to lead his team to the victory, helped along by Ray on 15pts 3ast and 3stls, Dean S hammerd the boards with 11 rebs in what would combine to be too much for MIC.
Great work to both teams, congrats to the winner Replacements, and much respect to the MIC Ballers who fought so hard after a great season! 
Has Beanz vs Pistons, Rank 1 vs 2! Div1 doesnt get any better on Saturdays, the scene was set for a clash of 2 deep teams with the Has Beanz having the edge on the season series, but anything could happen! The crowd was ready, Future Hall of Famer Daz came with a bearded vengeance to help the crowd spur on the Hogz in one of many finals appearances in previous seasons.
First Quarter started out in a flurry of arms and shots, Reggie (5 points) and Azza P (7pts) going at it from deep as the inside games Luke A got started with 7pts and Elliot with 7 also, the score 19-14 after a quarter, stats even except the FG% which was 58%-38% in Has Beanz favour.
Pistons only 5 down looked to jump out quick in the 2nd to prevent a gap to widen. 2nd quarter action mirrored the first with the gap only extending to 7 total, Pistons down, the shooting FG% still the same gap with both teams shooting well but Has Beanz just a bit better on 56% vs 46% from Pistons both teams hustling for everything, knowing the 3rd quarter is a crucial quarter to clinch or close the gap.
Pistons had some work to do! 41-34 the score! Luke A had his eye set on the bucket with 14 points, Reggie 8 and Greg heating up with 7, Lachlan had the glass covered with 4 but Azza P kept his stroke going with 14 at the hald, Elliot and Brynn on 7each, Andy K 5 rebounds to reduce 2nd shots from the hungry Pistons.

Amazingly both teams took the same amount of 2 pointers, and only 1 more 3 from Pistons or it wouldve been even, Pistons made 4 more, but overall shot 43% TFGs, against 53% from the eventual winners, has Beanz went to the line more making 74%, Pistons outrebounded has Beanz 31-28 and asists by 2 17-15, but the clinching stat was the steals and turnovers, with Pistons committing 16 Turnovers to has Beanz 4, Has Beanz stole it 12 times to Pistons’ 2. And that was the game!
Top performers for the Pistons was Luke A beasting his way into the post and eating glass on rebs with 17pts 8 rebounds, Reggie kessel got 17points and 4 assists including 4 from 3, and Greg McDonald always a solid outing with 15points 6rebs on 63% shooting.
Has Beanz had Azza Puljuc land an epic Finals game with 24 points on 62% shooting including 4/8 from 3 point land, this young superstar is a UBL legend in the making! Brook H turning back the clock with 19 points and 5 steals, Elliot hit 12points and 4 assists 4rebs whilst Andy K efficient in his role with 9rebounds, 4 assists.
WEll done to Pistons for a great season and an elite competitor against a formidable crew. Congrats to Has Beanz only 1 loss in the season, and a Championship at the end, always keeping their heads and playing their game, well done to all involved.
