Div 1 had a couple of games that were worth checking out as the new up and coming team takes on the upper ranks and old rivals face off…
Universe 7 started strong and got the jump on Haz Beanz who werent ready for them this game. Brooklyn slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 21 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Will 13 & Ethan weaved through the zone D with some nice footwork finishing on 13 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. whilst on the other team, Fil M had a pretty good game scoring wise with 12 points on the sheet , Elliot 11 & Brook played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 11 points together as they go down in this matchup. Uni7 just too baller this time, with the quick start they kept at their game pushing it all the way, Has Beanz made some ground to come within 3, with some iso plays inside, but Uni 7 had too much momentum and won the day and just up the ranks!
Mudflaps shot the lights out against a helpless #talk2mebro who sit in the middle of the ladder looking for a streak. T Rhodes was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 13 points to shut the defense down. . Flaps are flapping their wings and showing their mettle, ttmb just underpowered on the outside and mid range this time as they kept pushing it inside, they weren’t able to sustain it.
Div 2 had 4 games and the 8 team div were on point today with a lot of confident shots on both ends of the court and some big close out shots especially in the Oubres game…
Towradgi Rattlesnakes had its sights set on Fun Guys and set the tone from the start, big mentions to the performers in this game. The Oubres was ready this time around for The Klaws in a back and forth game holding the crowd in suspense Cooper W had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 15 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Emre H the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 14 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Danny couldnt miss much as he led his team with 16 points but a loss unfortunately , Peter D played well as far as getting 9 points as he pitched in to add to the score. What a game! With the back and forth buckets and exchanges going all game, it all came down to the last shot and the Ourbres kicked it around the 3 until they found Haruta who summoned his clutch gene and put in a solid top of the key jumper to ice the game by 2, clutch moment for him and OUrbres who have shown a massive jump in dominance since returning from COVID break!
Gongstar got a good win on the Free Agent Team , who underestimated the defence of their opponent and copped a loss for it Alex P focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 18 points to get over the line. . Mark M going to work down low in the blender. 14 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Darcy E let it fly and hit more than missed with 22 points recorded by the bench , Nicholas D was feeling good with 11 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Gongstar too strong and too much inside and on the transition offense, Free Agent team kept up the shots and strived for some better angles, the floaters landed, some threes too, but it all wasn’t enough this time against the battle experienced Gongstars!
