This season was a long season stretching from October last year after lockdown which got everyone keep to ball again and work towards this day! The Grand Finals! Division 1 was 2 rivals meet again, the top 2 teams in the season Mudflaps, the defending champs, and Haz Beanz, who were looking to reclaim former glory and steal a chip from the 1st rank in the Div.
Division 1
1st Quarter saw the two teams get active on both ends and the pace was up there, as Mudflaps saw the chance to try and tire out the Haz Beanz early, but it was a grind of a game, with Todd breaking out early with 14 points in the 1st quarter giving Mudflaps the slight edge by 5 points. Joe was shooting well but Haz Beanz were looking to go inside more to combat the barrage of 3s coming their way from the Flaps guards.
2nd quarter opened up with the pace still on the up and the spacing that Mudflaps used to swing the zone was working for them as they extended the lead to 9 as James and Will F started hitting some open looks using the extra pass to get their shooters free. Haz Beanz got some good looks inside this quarter and Joe kept his eye in as he reaches double digit scoring for the match with 12. REbounds were in favor of Haz Beanz, but the Flaps just ran with plenty of troops to throw at Haz Beanz and they would look to the 2nd half to close out.
3rd quarter action was back and forth as Haz Beanz kept up the pace this quarter but werent able to break through with any scoring suns, Tim W making sure he gets his numbers up this quarter as he reached a 14-13 double dobule at this point. But it was fighting 3s with 2s as the Flaps had hit 4 more 3s than Haz Beanz at this point, which was pretty much the difference in scores at this point, still a 9 point defecit going into the 4th quarter. 4th quarter was when the final finishing move was dealt to the Haz Beanz. with the 3s being put up at a fast rate, they bombarded tHaz Beanz with almost doubel the amount of 3s attempted than Haz Beanz who hit 5/20 threes on 25% shooting, whilst Mudflaps were on first with 12/36 and 36% more than enough to mount up a 21 point lead by the end of the game. Tim W with 19 points and 15 rebounds, a big game for the high post beast who caused issues for Flaps internal D as well as Joes 18 points game on 47% shooting. Noah was smothered down low but managed an almost double double on 9pts and 15 rebounds!
Todd R was the MVP of this game, as he hit 4 threes on his was to a 23 point 16 rebound double double to dominate the game! James L had a great statline of 14pts 6 assists which was mirrored almost with Will F on 14 pts 7 assists, 2 points guards on the floor which worked wonders for their offense. Carlson was vocal and pushing his squad at every point, the leadship shown was a sure factor of the win as they take out the Division 2 Championships for Season 24!

Division 2
Division 2 was a matchup that was fated to happen, the 1st and 2nd team in the season that had clashed in previous games with close results! 2Muddy and CBT would face off the Finals to see who has the more elite crew that is deserving of this season's ultimate achievement, a Div 2 Championship!
Quarter 1 started out with both teams looking to shoot and mount up some quick points, but the defense was turned up on both ends and the points went back and forth starting out with a tight scoreline by the end of the 1st quarter, 2Muddy only up by 1 point, 22-21, the majojrity of their scoring coming from outside whilst CBT were attacking the middle to get some 2s to do their damage, Both teams shooting 45% from their field to start! Todd V putting in work for 11pts and 4 steals in the quarter and James L on 8pts to lead their teams into the 2nd!
2nd quarter 2Muddy kept up their attack from the outside, but this time it was time for Captain Carlson to heat up and get some big buckets to go from three point land, hitting 4 of 4 in the game so far to punish the D from the corner, taking the lead for his team with 14 so far and a 6 points lead going into the halftime break which was handy for 2Muddy that were under constant pressure from the CBT guards who were putting up shots in volume looking to get some defense to compensate for their lack of boards which 2 muddy was all over leading 25-12 in the game so far. Todd V was too active with 17 pts so far, and on the defensive end as he totalled 7 steals so far as his hunger for the ball showed in many fast breaks! With a 6 point lead that can be erased by 2 threes, the 2nd half would be a test for both teams.
The 3rd quarter was the game blow open a little as CBT started feeling the effects from the long game and the pressure on their shooters. 2Muddy were on fire as they kept up their pace and the pressure as to expand on their lead which mounted up to 12 after this quarter which was a result of some bit time dimes and hustle for the loose ball. 2Muddy has 17 assists to CBTs 10 and out rebounded them by 12 thus far, creating a desperate cathc up situation for CBT that would set the tone for the 4th quarter. CBT had Todd get his total to 31 so far as the other Boys stepped up and put in some buckets to try get within 10 before the last 12 minutes of the game.
In the 4th quarter we saw much of the same action but more consistent in this quarter which proved effective in expanding the lead despite a quick run from CBT mid quarter. 2Muddy we just 2 good, as Carlson kept up his hot shooting with 7/7 threes in the game so far! Perfect from outside for the UBL OG who was providing the sparks for his team to power on! It was a runaway this quarter, with the CBT crew deflated after a long battle, and 2Muddy with many troops to throw at them kept powering on and hitting 3s, 19 in total to the 2 from CBT which was all the difference as 2Muddy ran away with the score put 100 in to complete their fairy tale run!
CBT has a good game this battle, as TOdd V put in some big numbers with 35 points and 11 rebounds with 8 steals, Luka on 9 points and Tjay with some big times for 6 assists. The team shot 36% total FG% and lost the battle of the boards by 15 points. They put in big work on the defensive end with 12 steals and 8 less turnovers, but it was simply a matter of being outscored this game by the hot shooting of 2Muddy.
2Muddy was led by the the 3 headed attack of Curt L who notched 26point 11reb 7 assists. James L with a 23point 10 assist double double, and then Carlson the MVP of this game with 23 pts 5 rebs 5 assists on 7 of 8 threes and 62% shooting! Robbie N pitched in a tidy 12 and 9 for his game as the 2Mdudy crew stormed to victory !
Huge Congratulation to 2Muddy taking out the Division 2 title, a huge win for the CHF franchise as they take both Divisions down with their non stop hustle and solid shooting! CBT go home after their 2nd Grand Finals loss going back to last season, but a great effort to get this far only to fall to a good team that simply shot the lights out!
