Division 1 Grand Finals - Haz Beanz vs talktomebro
1st ranked Haz Beanz took the game second half from the 3rd place talktomebro in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Top scorers in this game were, Joe P ( 21 ) top scoring for his team, & Aaron P ( 18 ) . The opponents top scorers were; Lach E ( 23 ) , & Connor HG & Jack C ( 16ea ) .
1st quarter Haz Beanz With a slow start as they got there veteran shooters warmed up but it was talktomebro that came out with a bang and we're hitting some tough shots all of their players getting some efficient stat lines... Dr Lachlan E was on fire putting in 10 points in the quarter while Jack and Connor combined for 10... Aaron P led the way for Haz Beanz with nine points in the quarter as everyone got going and Joe and Brooke started to heat up.. The difference after 12 minutes was only two points with talktomebro keeping things pretty much even going into the second quarter
2nd quarter talktomebro Kept up the same pace and we're trying to get their big guys going down low but they were met with heavy defence and centre line many times to which their free throws weren't all landing which was not ideal as they lost the momentum as the has been on a 25 to 10 run to get them the advantage going into the third quarter... At this point Joe had caught fire building on his first quarter to have hit five out of five threes by half time leading the way with 17 points He was helped out by Aaron P who had 16 so far and was dishing out dimes to find his scorers who were all starting to get loose and score well making a tough assignment for talk to me bro as they were tasked with catching up in the second half...Haz Beanz shooting a total of 51% from the field and led the way in the rebound category by 4 and also was finding each other well with an extra 10 assists than talktomebro...
3rd quarter Haz Beanz locked in and were not letting down as they increased the activity around the paint and found some good leak outs on the fast break to increase their lead and keep talktomebro from snatching back the momentum despite some good buckets from Lach E and Jack who were working hard inside to get things going..Connor was a little out of sorts with a lot of pressure on him download but was tearing in the boards with 15 so far to add to his nine points.. They would need a big fourth quarter to come back as the lights out shooting from Brooke was brought to light this quarter as he had not missed a three-pointer so far and had 13 points up to this point on 83% shooting...
4th quarter talktomebro Were hopeful and looking for someone to heat up and save the day but the spark on offence this quarter came from Connor who was starting to get a groove down low and put in some great buckets to try and keep the school close chili was ripping in rebounds and Joe was able to get inside for a few buckets but in the end the spread performance of the Haz Beanz attack was the factor in the win as 5 out of 7 players scored in double digits with a total of 83 to finish The game which was indicative of their hot shooting which came in at 43%..talktomebro Just unlucky this time even though statistically they kept up in rebounds and hustle which just wasn't enough this game as the eventual winners ran away with it in the last few minutes to open up the game again and finish with a solid win in the grand finals...HaZ Beanz with the back-to-back win after this one looking to extend their dominance of the division this time the victim fought hard but was just overmatched by some lights out shooting from the defending champions and their efficient guards...
Top performers stat wise for Haz Beanz Aaron P with 18 points 9 assists and 8 rebounds... Elliot J with a solid double double with 11 points 10 rebounds three assists and three steals... Joe P had a banger of a game with 19 points on 70% shooting hitting almost everything he put up in the first part of the game... Doing his best Michael Jordan flu game impression Brook H put up an impressive stat line with 16 points and 6 rebounds on near perfect shooting at 86%.. going four out of four from three point land.. and will pee locked down defensively with 11 points and 4 rebounds with three assists.. Andy K helped out on the boards with 10 as there has been combined for a great output to win this game
talktomebro had some great performances this game with Joe getting 9 points and Jack with 10.. Connor almost getting a double double with nine points and 15 rebounds causing a lot of problems in the paint for their opponent... Lach E was the team MVP this game with the team higher 19 points three steals as he tried to keep the boys in the hunt with some big shots throughout...
Congratulations to Haz Beanz again as they are crowned back to back champions in an undefeated season for the ages!!
Division 2 Grand Finals - Agents V Gongstar
2nd place AGENTS started strong and got the jump on 4th ranked Gongstar in a game that started close but ended one sided. Top point getters in this game were, Jordan P ( 28 ) leading his team & Sannie Y (17) & Sam B ( 16 ) . The other teams' top scorers were; Mark M ( 12 ) , & Jackson C ( 10 ) .
1st quarter AGENTS Coming out and playing well from the get-go as they took advantage of their opponent with a good outlay of points coming from Sannie she went to work right away getting seven points in the quarter and Jordan P also started heating up getting six points... The rebounding battle was even but the turnovers were the issue for GONGSTAR which unfortunately converted to points for Agents giving them an 11-point lead at the end of the quarter... Jackson and Mark... Led the way with eight combined as Jackson started his dominance on the board with five rebounds so far as the second quarter came around
2nd quarter Gongstar Kept up the scoring and we're finding more luck on the fast break which Jordan P took advantage of getting 17 points so far and four steals and Jackson C was collecting some huge rebounds as he dominated down there for the team giving them second chance points and preventing GONGSTAR from getting second looks also...Agents added to their lead from the first half leaving their opponent in a whole that they would need to crawl out of in the second half with a big performance and some shot making from anyone who can step up....
3rd quarter AGENTS Didn't let down all game and this quarter was no different as they could all their efforts into increasing the score line and leave no chance for them to lose this game as sunny started getting extra active on both ends with 15 points and 5 steals so far shooting just on 60% while Jordan Pee continued his big game with 21 so far and Sam B had some tough buckets go down for him as he approached a double double with 10 points and 8 rebounds so far Mitch L was also getting out and running with his five steals to add to his eight rebounds The whole team shooting just on 40% so far and taking care of the ball with only 9 turnovers...GONGSTAR we're starting to make some progress scoring but they were still finding it hard going with all the defence being played however Mark M was able to get some great contested buckets to go scoring almost a double double with eight points and eight rebounds so far he was helped out by Jackson on the boards who had 12 at this point to add to his four points while free started hitting some threes with two going down for him in the game so far...Aaron L was taking care of the rebounds inside with a couple of putbacks but the score line wasn't changing in their favour and recovering from a slow start was going to be a task in the fourth quarter...
4th quarter Gongstar Had its last chance to get the game to a respectable level and they did well this quarter to limit the scoring and actually kept up to only lose the quarter by one point but unfortunately still remained in the whole that would eventually give them the loss.. both teams pushing it till the end and the stat sheet showed as Jordan scored seven in the quarter and Sam scored six to top things off and bring the championship back to the Agents clubhouse for this season... Mark M was able to put in four points in the quarter as well as Jackson but the success stopped there as they all put in some points to keep things in range but went down eventually losing the battle of the rebounds and turnovers which cost them the game...
Top performers stat wise for AGENTS Being Sannie with a solid all round game with 17 points 8 rebounds for assists and 5 steals on 50% shooting.. Jackson was dominant on the rebounds with 12 in the game and Sam B ending the game with a monster stat line of 16 points 18 rebounds to dominate this game in the second half... Mitch was efficient this game with nine rebounds to add to his six points and six steals.. Jordan P was the MVP this game with a monster 28 points 7 rebounds and 5 steels on 55% shooting a stat line worthy of a finals MVP and a clear factor in this game as they took the win...
Gongstar Also had some good stat lines from Mark M who got a 12.11 rebound double double doing his thing in the paint despite all the defence being thrown at him... As if ended up with eight points on a heavily contested shooting night while Jackson C was a beast and put in a double-double performance getting 10 points and 17 huge rebounds scoring well inside.. free did his version of damage with a well-rounded game 7 points 8 rebounds 3 assists and 4 steals for the gong Star OG... Captain Aaron helped out a lot getting some putbacks to go as he pulled in seven rebounds to add to his four points in the heartbreaking loss for GONGSTAR!
Congratulations to AGENTS! Getting a championship for this season and ushering in a new era as they look to dominate the next season after putting in some great work and hovering around the top ranks all season...
