SEMI FINALS for Season 7 is here and the final four of each Division are set to face off. Check out whos going to the Grand Finals with a win this round. It will be hard fought as with only 1 game left, you dont want to get sent home early!
Div 1 had some old rivals face off and it was set to be a fantastic night of maximium intesity basketball in the night most skilled up Div!
3rd place KillaBeez went back and forth but held the lead most of the game against 2ND ranked Chargers and set the tone from the start, big mentions to the performers in this game. Alex P couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 21 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Mikey was stroking it with ease from all parts of the arc. 14 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Reggie K weaved through the zone D with some nice footwork finishing on 17 points on the sheet , Tim S Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 13 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Chargers lost their last game against KillaBeez and it was time to get revenge! Both teams came out starting a little slow then the 3s starting falling! Mikey hitting some huge 3s to get things going with 3 bang bangs giving KillaBeez a little lead to work with. But Chargers came back strong hitting their own threes from spreading the ball and caught up to within 1 point at the half. KillaBeez got to work in the 2nd half pushing the ball low and getting active on the boards. The extra passes getting good looks. Alex P a game changer down low battling with the bigs getting the game high and Ahmad controlled the ball well to hold the lead sending KillaBeez to another Grand Finals. Chargers go home 1 game short of the finals, an upset that they wont soon forget after another great season from this established team in Division 1.
4th ranked Double Dunkers grinded out a win in back and forth match vs 1ST place Top Gun Agent Crew and went back to the locker room with a solid Win. Peter T beasted hard this game finishing on a great 15 points to shut the defense down. . Jed P slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 12 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Brent H scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 20 points recorded by the bench , Oscar D had a pretty good game scoring wise with 11 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Double Dunkers got going quickly with Jed and Pete working wonders inside combining to scoring 24 of the teams 30 in the first half taking a 9 point lead, setting up for a catchup mission for TGAC. Brent H was just too slick with his jumper again and put in some consistent points in the game as Oscar put his foot down pushing the break. Double Dunkers were just too strong this game with their insdie passing working wonders. Jimmy Ws late three pushing the Double Dunkers towards the final buzzer with the score in the favor. TGAC had a great season after a merger but just fall short this game to the well oiled Double D machine who will go to the Grand Finals!
Div 2 is just too close and too competitive this season as the final four get to face off for one final battle this season before the Final 2 teams are decided, and this one was full of intensity as the Grand Finals is set!
1st place The Whoopsy Fudge Stripes werent going to stand down against 4th ranked Dream Team and pushed it all the way to the end. Lachlan W heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 14 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Jack O 9 & Paul R played well as far as getting 7 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Grant O let it fly and hit more than missed with 11 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Nathan D got to good spots on the court and shot well with 8 points on the sheet . Whoopsy Fudge Stripes taking their super hustle to the next level as they look to the next game and weren’t going to let the Dream Team do their thing without a hand in their face. Dream Team had some sparks push the tempo up and keep the game close, Grant owning the paint inside making issues for the small ballin Whoopsy crew who made up for it with extra fast breaks. Dream Teams Nate Ds jumper was on when he got free of the defense but he needed more looks to have a bigger night and overcome the Whoopsy Fudge Stripes who had Lachy W get his first step going and kept the D on their toes chasing him to the cup with little luck. Jack O and Paul R provided extra help to get Whoopsy Fudge Stripes to the Grand Finals this season! Dream Team go home early after doing really well in a very tough Div, next season could be their season to win!
2nd ranked Wyangal Pirates started strong and got the jump on 3rd place Cream City and with a big size difference, they went down this time Nick B couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 25 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Kyle was heating up as he bagged 11 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Tom M just too much experience shooting the 3 with 17 points but a loss unfortunately , Ken N 4 & Taco J played well as far as getting 4 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Wyangal Pirates looked to take the Cream City crew early and put in work on defense stopping the Cream Citys usual mid range attack and fast break. Wyangal Pirates the overall bigger team was able to out rebound and defend the ball well using the extra length. Wyangal Pirates had Nick B go off again for 25 putting in workin all over the court to lead his team to victory. Kyle was doing well in all ranges with a mix of nice shots with great efficiency. Cream City couldn’t get inside and put the ball into Toms hands who scored all of Cream Citys first half points with the task ahead of trying to catch up to the 20 points defecit at the half. This was too much to make up but they did their best effort with some controversial plays not going the way of Cream City who go home early this season 1 game short of their finals dreams! Wyangal Pirates go the Semi Finals to face Whoopsey in the 1v2 matchup that everyone is waiting for!

2ND place Love Handles had its work cut out against 3rd ranked The Generals in a back and forth game holding the crowd in suspense Ethan P got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 16 points to get over the line. . Jarrod M 7 & Tom B pitched in to add to the score with, 6 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Jordyn W was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 12 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Bennett R getting stats from everywhere including 10 points but a loss unfortunately . Love Handles being extra active this game trying to get the ball to the mid range and attack and use their bigs to scrap for boards to get extra points this game. Generals had 3 players step up as Jordyn W whos been scoring well all season got the team high, handles just too slick getting him some open lanes, Bennett and Michael supported well with a mix of attacks that kept Love Handles playing extra hard in case. Half time it was Love Handles by 3 but by the end it was Ethan Ps big 2nd half with his teams first 12 points ensuring they get the lead and keep it. Jarrod did well to get some buckets and Tom pitched in to send Love handles to the Grand Finals! Great season by Generals, hovering near the top ranks as they have imporved well every season only to fall short 1 game from the final dance.
5th ranked Parrots just able to get the win by a bucket or so vs 1ST ranked Fighting Ducks in a loud and hectic game keeping refs active and players tense. N Dunstan Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 21 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Jack T 13 & Sam T weaved through the zone D with some nice footwork finishing on 11 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Sam B got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 22 points but a loss unfortunately , Ivan C slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 11 points as he pitched in to add to the score. . Parrots have been in the playoffs many times, and this time they were looking to make it to the Grand Finals in the hope of taking it out! Fighting Ducks were no pushover team though as they had their weapons locked in and firing. Sam B a beast on the offensive end again with contested layups and 3s the meal he was dishing out tonight, but even the game high 22 wasn’t enough as the combined efforts of the Parrots spread effort proving too much by the end of the game. Fighting Ducks had Ivan get some buckets but he was watched closely and limited until he hit 2 threes to tray and catch up with minutes left. Parrots pulled away on free throws in garbage time as will take a trip the Grand Finals next week, upsetting the 1st ranked Fighting Ducks who just couldn’t pull it together this game but had a great season to show for it. Can they come back next season and dominate all the way to the finals ? we shall see. Parrots will take on Love Handles in what will be a banger of a game!
