Tuesdays ROUND 13 has concluded with a full complement of gamnes and some solid OT action in Div2. Some games were close, others, statement wins that will stay in the losing teams memory till they meet again.
Div 1 ranks stayed but the points difference is closer between the bottom and top end of the standings, home run for the season for wins! Whos getting them?
KillaBeez undermanned but pumped up for the challenge vs Double Dunkers and set the tone from the start, big mentions to the performers in this game. Will G got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 20 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Andy K kept his average up there for the season with a nice 13 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Peter T the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 10 points on the sheet , CJ scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 9 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. KillaBeez face their friendly rivals Double Dunkers again and the last one went the KillaBeez way and this time it was the same. KillaBeez getting to the line and hitting outside shots immediately, having the Double Dunkers fight back all game, it almost happened with minutes left, but the Beez held on. Top Gun Agents Crew (TGAC) started strong and got the jump on The Bandwagoners and pushed it all the way to the end. Eddie L beasted hard this game finishing on a great 14 points to shut the defense down. . Oscar S pushed the fast break and trasnsition offense resulting in 10 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Edward A got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 15 points recorded by the bench , Ryan M was heating up as he bagged 12 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . TGAC are on an 8 game winning streak and seemingly unbeatable! Bandwagoners had some good looks and moves inside but couldn’t compete with the teamwork play from TGAC…Eddie had a great game providing constant scoring keeping Bandwagoners chasing their tails and the lead all game. TGAC still in first and Bandwagoners in equal 5th.
Chargers left it till the final moments after a huge scoring run against Multiple Scoregasm and went back to the locker room with a solid Win. Reggie K just too much experience shooting the 3 with 21 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Tim S was shooting well from deep with 13 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Michael H scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 13 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , James & Aidan threw in together to combine scored to total 14 points on the sheet . Chargers were on the back foot as Multiple Scoregasm took the floor and came out hungry, hitting some big shots and making big plays. Chargers haad some work to do, and kept the pace but didn’t have the lead till mid 2nd, when Reggie went into beast mode and took over for a spurt of points and long range bombs that put Multiple Scoregasm on the catchup. Too much momentum had been sucked out of Multiple Scoregasm after losing the lead and Chargers went on to win and keep the 2nd rank. Multiple Scoregasm in equal 5th and lose this one like a few other games, by a few buckets. Multiple Scoregasm are looking good and improving every game, a definite powerhouse team of coming seasons in Div1!
Div 2 had some hectic games, and some hectic parts of games that were worthy of checking out who won in the end. The ladder is tight as ranks are relatively untouched.
Cream City needed an overtime thriller against the Ultra Instinct needed every time out to get the result they need, and Trent F got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 23 points in the big dominating victory. . Ken N had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 12 points to get over the line. but on the other side Jordan P let it fly and hit more than missed with 14 points as he was operating in automatic mode , Jake P kept his eye on the hoop and ended up with 11 points together as they go down in this matchup. Overtime game that you know what going to happen when these 2 teams couldn’t decide who would lead the game. Ultra attacked from the outside with a barrage of 2 pointers getting many to go and keep the pace as the streaking Cream City put the ball on the floor and ran the break, passing well. Ken N with some big buckets and some crucial 3s to help out including some ice cold free throws at the end which ended up winning the game for Cream City! Ultra had the lead and control but the victory just slipped away from them again, the Pranic Brothers doing big damage, but just unlucky in the end as Ultra is buried by Free throws… Cream City are in equal first and Ultra is in 5th.
Wyangal Pirates shot the lights out against a helpless Bricklayers who end a good run of recent games, copping a slight loss this time. Alex B beasted hard this game finishing on a great 11 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Kyle the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 10 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Nathan R heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 20 points but a loss unfortunately , Will, Neale, & Ethan played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 5 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Wyangal Pirates sit in 2nd place after this match as they took the Bricklayers down with a varied attack from some mid range Js and hook shots inside. Wyangal Pirates back on the win streak now as they absorb the killer moves from Nathan R and inside hustle from Neale. Wyangal Pirates keep their rank and so do Bricklayers.
Heat Check got a good first ever win on the forever hustling Fighting Mongooses in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Jake E got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 19 points to get over the line. . Speedy was shooting well from deep with 18 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Nandi H getting stats from everywhere including 15 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Matty B played well as far as getting 9 points but a loss unfortunately . Heat Check knew it was time to get busy, and Fighting Mongooses were missing some crucial shots with some players out of position in the zone as Fighting Mongooses readjusted to try and withstand the Heat Check scoring runs which never stopped all game. Jake and Speedy firing on all weapons for Heat Check who are in 4th. Fighting Mongooses sit in equal 4th but have dropped their last 3 games.
The Whoopsy Fudge Stripes knew it would take more than buckets, they needed stops and that got them the win.. Dream Team who werent ready for them this game. Paul R put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 20 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Jack O finished the game with a commendable 11 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Dave G heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 17 points but a loss unfortunately , Grant O scored well with 8 points as he pitched in to add to the score. Dream Team 4 game winning streak is over as they face the top team who never stop running, the Whoopsy Fudge Stripes. This game started slower but ended up the game, Whoopsy Fudge Stripes stepping up the defense to full court and trapping the Dream Team approach to their hoop. Paul had his eye locked in and made Dream Teampay for defenders being late to their spots. Dave G was the shining light of hope having a blowout game and providing energy for the Dream Team who took this one as a loss despite max effort. Love Handles matched up well against Feel Team 6 in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Ethan P couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 24 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Jarrod M felt it was time to step up and got 23 points in the big dominating victory. combining for a a good total to out do the eventual defeated, whos scorers were; Aiden couldnt miss much as he led his team with 21 points but a loss unfortunately , Charles H let it fly and hit more than missed with 13 points worth of buckets in the loss.. . Love Handles were pretty much even with the Love Handles till Ethan went on a scoring tear all game, hitting Js, corner turning 3 pointers and some nice scoop layups, then Jarrod hit a bunch of threes to give Love Handles the momentum and lead which didn’t change. Love Handles in 1st place and Feel Team in 6th.
The Generals grinded out a win in back and forth match vs Fun Guys and was able to get the much needed win. Jordyn W with an epic performance and great score of 15 points worth of buckets in the win. . Kyle W helped out with the load getting 10 point performance. simply taking over and stifling most of their scorers expect for, Marley F got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 20 points recorded by the bench , Justin F beasted hard this game finishing on a great 12 points but a loss unfortunately . The Generals on a 3 game winning streak and looking to rise to the top as Jordyn leads the way being aggressive on the offensive end getting The Generals a change to get the W at the end of the game as Kyle hit a 2 points shot, the last of the game and was able to seal a win for The Generals who sit in 3rd.
