Div 1 had some ripper games with some close margins and some big margins with huge scoring efforts, the hustle steps up and the ballers are getting work in at the business end of the regular season!
Double Dunkers knew it would take more than buckets, they needed stops and that got them the win.. Top Gun Agents Crew (TGAC) in a grind of a game coming right down to the last few minutes to decide the winner. Jed P focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 16 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Tim was stroking it with ease from all parts of the arc. 14 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Brent H got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 22 points on the sheet , Oscar S getting stats from everywhere including 13 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Double Dunkers pushed the tempo form the start and made plays down the stretch to keep on top of the strong TGAC team who have been ranking 1 for a while. Double Dunkers were up 6 at the half and even Brents strong game and Oscars usual bucket getting, wasn’t enough this time. TGAC go down this game as Jed P got hyped up and put in some late free throws to ice the game and put the score out of reach, Double Dunkers in 2nd and TGAC still equal 1st now.
KillaBeez needed someone to step up and hit the game winner against Chargers in this round which would result in a great match. Andy K put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 19 points to shut the defense down. Alex P pulling in much needed offensive rebounds as well as 14 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Greg M had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 12 points recorded by the bench , Tim S 12 & Trent F pitched in to add to the score with, 12 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Chargers have their 6 game winning streak blocked at the rim by the KillaBeez this game. KillaBeez faced their old rivals, the Chargers and it was an old school matchup with some old heads going at it, the score at half time was relatively even with Chargers up 1. It all came down to the last play, Chargers up 1, KillaBeez drew up a magical play and Andy K delivered with a heads down drive to the hoop for a finish through contact for an And1 which put the game out of reach as the last effort from 3 fell shots for Chargers who still sit in equal 1st. KillaBeez just out side of the top 2 with 3.
Aces shot the lights out against a helpless Multiple Scoregasm in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Fola couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 26 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Miles heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 26 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Aron G was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 24 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Aidan & James UC threw in together to combine scores to total 22 points on the sheet . Aces 3 game losing streak is over after this solid win, with the two big guns of Aces getting a combined 52, 26 each with a varied attack on the hoop and some big 3s to make the Multiple Scoregasm chase the lead from the start, only down by 8 at the half. Aces kept pushing the ball to the two top scoreres and the other Aces stepped up too, hitting some extra shots with great efficiency. The 5th place Multiple Scoregasm just underpowered on the defensive end this time and couldn’t get stops. Aces in 6th by 1 point.
Div 2 ballin has leveled up again as some of the underdogs get the wins in these games, shaking up the ladder and making for a competitive run to the playoffs for seeding ranks!
Ultra Instinct had its work cut out against Heat Check and was victorious this round, thanks to some players putting in work. Jake P couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 28 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Jackson beasted hard this game finishing on a great 9 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Adrian D 11 & Jake E played well as far as getting 11 points but a loss unfortunately , C Bennett pitched in to add to the score with, 9 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Ultra Instinct was ready to go, and one guy in particular was ready to rip Heat Check a new one. Jake P stepped up with a huge nught and possible career high hitting 3s and floaters and some big buckets that left Heat Check scraping for extra 3s to catch up quickly, whih they did and the halftime score was only 1 point to Heat Check. Adrian and Tyla carrying the load but Jake P went Ultra Instinct and hit the last 11 points of the game to bury the Heat Check crew with a dominant night. Ultra Instinct in 6th and Heat Check in 5th by a point
Wyangal Pirates got a good win on the The Whoopsy Fudge Stripes who werent ready for them this game. Sam B got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 27 points to get over the line. . Nick B focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 23 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Paul R scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 12 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Lachlan W ended up with an efficient 11 points but a loss unfortunately . Wyangal Pirates ranking higher now as they put their best effort against the extra energy Whoopsy Fudge Stripes. Sam and Nick B combinging for 50 points, hitting step backs and put backs, making some issues for Whoopsy Fudge Stripes on the inside. Wyangal Pirates had their hands up on the mid range shooters for Whoopsy Fudge Stripes and the first half was all Wyangal Pirates and it continued to the final horn. Whoopsy Fudge Stripes in 2nd place now after this top of the table clash of white jersey’d teams!
Cream City started strong and got the jump on Bricklayers couldnt stop the unselfish offense they were faced with this game. Tom M channelled Kobe and wanted the win this time, getting 20 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Ken N 9 10 Trent F pitched in to add to the score with, 9 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Neale P couldnt miss much as he led his team with 20 points but a loss unfortunately , William P was feeling good with 5 points as he pitched in to add to the score. Bricklayers’ 3 game win streak is over…after a solid run they fall to the streaking Cream city. Bricklayers have been doing some great work on both ends lately, this time they were met with their match on the defensive end as the feisty Cream City locked down the Bricklayers shooters and were able to lock in the win behind a solid shooting show by Tom showing the skillset on some nice finishes. Cream City in 1st place now and Bricklayers only 2 points from the next rank up!
Dream Team took the game second half from the Fighting Mongooses and set the tone from the start, big mentions to the performers in this game. Nate D put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 14 big ones to conlclude the mission . Dave G had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 10 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Zac Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 6 points recorded by the bench , Matt B, Pete C & Glenn B played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 5 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Dream Team were on fire on both ends, getting the ball from the Mongooses in crucial times and locking down the paint to not allow the bigs of the Mongooses to get going. Dream Team spread the scoring, with nate D giving the boys energy with some big jumpers. Dave G had some smooth finishes which outdoes the Mongooses super spread scoring effort, they jst needed someone to break the double digits to try and get up on the now, 3rd place Dream Team. Love Handles handling their end of the game nicely with the leading scorer Jarrod M, who hit the go ahead And1 play that left the Parrots with their heads. Parrots kept up the pace most game and did well to catch up from their 7 point deficit at the half. A big game from Jack T wasn’t enough as the 1st place Love Handles rise up again. Parrots in 4th.
Fighting Ducks knew what they had to do against The Generals needed every time out to get the result they need, and Zach put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 17 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Jack S getting stats from everywhere including 13 points in the big dominating victory. combining for a a good total to out do the eventual defeated, whos scorers were; Michael D let it fly and hit more than missed with 14 points but a loss unfortunately , Bennett R scored well with 12 points worth of buckets in the loss.. . Fighting Ducks were out for some action and they were hungry this time coming out strong in the first half with jack S smashing some tasty mid rangers down to get the Ducks the 8 point lead. The Generals had some work to do and had a great run of points mid 2nd half but Fighting Ducks fought back with some super efficient plays by Zach to keep the Fighting Ducks in the lead and the 2nd spot. The Generals in 3rd now.
Feel Team 6 needed an overtime thriller against the Fun Guys and knew it would be a test on their troops. Cody C with an epic performance and great score of 19 points worth of buckets in the win. . Simon H helped out with the load getting 9 point performance. simply taking over and stifling most of their scorers expect for, Kye W let it fly and hit more than missed with 12 points recorded by the bench , Marley F getting stats from everywhere including 10 points but a loss unfortunately . Feel Team 6 lucky to pull this one off as the two teams went at it during regular time with no one getting advantage, the two teams evenly matched this night. Feel Team 6 had Cody C score the last 8 points to catch up and draw even and force the OT. Fun Guys and Feel Team 6 exchanging baskets in OT but they couldn’t get 1 up on each other and it went to the shootout where Fun Guys just lost by 1 shot. Epic battle in a controversial finish the basketball gods no doubt had a hand in!
