Tuesday Round 17 is done and the results are in for the 3rd last round…That’s right with only 2 rounds left after this one, the playoff scene starts to set as the ranks begin to sort themselves out, whos leading and whos fighting for the same rank?
Div 1 had some great games with some results that may surprise you including an ending to a huge losing streak which came just in time to start a new streak!
Chargers wins a resounding victory over the unlucky Aces in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Tim S heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 28 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Reggie K slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 24 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Miles scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 14 points on the sheet , Dugald O played well as far as getting 6 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Chargers came out firing and wanted this game n the bag as they fight for the 1st rank. Tim has been keen to get some buckets lately and this game it was a great show of threes and big 2s turning back the clock again to lead the way as Reggie put in his usual 20-30 to seal it for the Chargers . Aces unlucky as they lose some big guns and kept up the pace regardless but landed short on some crucial buckets. Aces cant make many mistakes coming up if they want to make playoffs!
Multiple Scoregasm took the game second half from the Double Dunkers couldnt stop the unselfish offense they were faced with this game. Aidan couldnt miss much as he led his team with 16 points to shut the defense down. . Michael H getting stats from everywhere including 9 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as CJ got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 28 points recorded by the bench , Tim pitched in to add to the score with, 12 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Scorgasms 12 game losing streak is over! Multiple Scoregasm finally did it! They shook the losing streak that had lasted 12 loooong rounds. This time they got a win on the strong Double Dunkers who were just underpowered in some positions leaving Multiple Scoregasm to exploit them especially down low. Double Dunkers sit in 2nd still after this loss as Scorgasms fight for the final playoffs spot in equal 4th.
KillaBeez started strong and got the jump on The Bandwagoners and set the tone from the start, big mentions to the performers in this game. Will G channelled Kobe and wanted the win this time, getting 19 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Ahmad A slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 16 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Izaak W pulling up Js from the around the paint and beyond resulting in 11 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Josh H was heating up as he bagged 8 points on the sheet . KillaBeez swarming again and they get their 3rd win in a row behind some crafty teamwork action and some hot shooting from Will and Ahmad who were hungry for some big plays this game, Will with a double double on boards and Ahmad with some tasty dishes. Bandwagoners were not ready for the quick start and went to work with Izaak W putting gin some strong mid range attacks and helping big time on floor maintenance. Bandwagoners go down and are in equal 4th spot as KillaBeez sit in 3rd but only less than a win away from 2nd.
Div 2 is the biggest div and the teams are pretty evently matched, any game can end up with an L or W for each team and there no more crucial time than now to get the Ws!
Heat Check started strong and got the jump on Wyangal Pirates undermanned but pumped up for the challenge. Tyla T heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 25 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Jake E kept his average up there for the season with a nice 18 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Nick B couldnt miss much as he led his team with 20 points but a loss unfortunately , Alex B scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 10 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Wyangal Pirates 4 game winning streak is over! Heat Check weren’t going to lose this one as they had their weapons all firing and hitting some big shots. Tyla with a monster game hitting 7 threes and dominating the Wyangal Pirates from the outside. Wyangal Pirates weren’t able to get around to all the shooters in time as Heat Check made the extra pass to get the easier look and the W. Nick B did his thing from inside and out making sure the game was gettable. Alex B hit some Js but just not enough to steal this win from Heat Check who are in 5th rank and Pirates in equal 2nd.
Cream City got a good win on the Dream Team in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Trent F got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 25 points to get over the line. . Tom M focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 12 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Grant O scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 13 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Jayke Z 8 & Nate D played well as far as getting 8 points but a loss unfortunately . Cream City still the best dressed team in the div with new fashion items added every game to keep the dress code on notice. And Cream City have been doing well with their give and go energy offense couple with stifling defensive hustle. Trent was feeling cold and kept his jumper on as well as his mid range shot. Dream Team had Some nice dishes to the middle to Grant who cant be contained down there, but a few layups and shots rimmed out for them and they took the L but still in 3rd place.. Cream City in 1st and starting to get more momentum with 3 wins in a row.
The Whoopsy Fudge Stripes started strong and got the jump on Bricklayers in this round which would result in a great match. Lachlan W got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 14 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Finn pitched in to add to the score with, 10 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Neale P owning the glass and taking names in the post with 9 points but a loss unfortunately , Anthony T was feeling good with 6 points as he pitched in to add to the score. Whoopsy Fudge Stripes were ready to go and had their hustle out on the floor like always. Lach W with some high arcing crucial threes to get the lead which Whoopsy Fudge Stripes built on all game, leaving Bricklayers to play catch up ball and try for some big threes, which didn’t land, but Neale cleaned up well down the stretch to keep the score close. Whoopsy Fudge Stripes ran away with this win in the 2nd haf and they take the 2nd rank after this game. Bricklayers need to make a last push to make playoffs as the rounds dwindle away.

Fighting Mongooses 6 game losing streak is over! The recnt dry run for them had to stop eventually as they took this one as a wake up call before playoffs. Ultra Instinct were doing well but only hitting form the mid range and outside sporadically as Mongooses hammerd the ball inside to Matty B whos inside game is irrepressible. Ultra Instinct sit in 6th spot and Mongooses in 4th.
Div 3 ranks are going to stay the same after this week as the higher ranked teams won as they try to get into playoff shape as the big dance is in sight and momentum and chemistry is everything!
The Generals werent going to stand down against Feel Team 6 in a game that started close but ended one sided. Bennett R had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 12 points to ensure they get the win this round. Michael D ended up with an efficient 10 points to get over the line. simply out working the other scorers being, Cody C got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 13 points in this game. , Jordan N played well as far as getting 6 points in the loss . Generals have been getting some strong wins lately, and this win was hard fought in the 1st and well controlled in the 2nd as the Generals deep roster all got some scoring done, Bennett too slick on the mid range making sure his team had Feel Team 6 where they wanted them. Feel Team 6 are in equal 5th now as they just got unlyucky on the fast break and on some threes getting some bounce outs at times when Generals were ready to run. Generals in 3rd spot looking good to break some hearts in the playoffs!
Fighting Ducks knew what they had to do against Parrots in a clinic, taking advantage of lesser defensive matchup. Sam B couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 16 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Ivan C 14 & Zach F played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 14 points in the big dominating victory. combining for a a good total to out do the eventual defeated, whos scorers were; Sam T let it fly and hit more than missed with 13 points but a loss unfortunately , Jack T scored well with 12 points worth of buckets in the loss.. . Fighting Ducks have their ducks in a line and are shooting with some good efiiciency lately. Ivan and Zack putting in 14 each helped a bunch to back up Sam Bs strong finishes and 3s. Parrots didn’t know which of the Fighting Ducks to guard as the attack was from everywhere, Parrots sit in 5th at the moment but need to win the next few rounds as the fight for the last position is on! Fighting Ducks settle for 2nd place…for now!
