Div 1 had some matchups which we have seen before, but this time there were come results which may surprise as the ranks keep moving!
Top Gun Agents Crew (TGAC) shot the lights out against a helpless The Bandwagoners couldnt stop the unselfish offense they were faced with this game. Doug & Zoran threw in together to combine scored to total 20 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Oscar S got to good spots on the court and shot well with 20 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Edward A scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 13 points on the sheet , Marcus R was heating up as he bagged 4 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. TGAC is on a tear since the merger and havnt looked back, their fast break and pass first offense doing its magic inside and outside, too much for Bandwagoners this time who were down some crucial pieces and couldn’t adjust in time to make this one a closer match. TGAC in equal 1st and Bandwagoners in equal 4th.
KillaBeez just able to get the win by a bucket or so vs Double Dunkers and set the tone from the start, big mentions to the performers in this game. Alex P points from slashing and finding the gaps in the zone D. 18 points to shut the defense down. . Andy K was heating up as he bagged 10 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Jed P with an epic performance and great score of 17 points recorded by the bench , CJ let it fly and hit more than missed with 10 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Killa Beez are swarming again as they have 2 wins this year and start their fight up the ladder sitting in 3rd after this nailbiting match between two great but friendly rivals! Double Ds were just behind from the start but only by a bucket or so all game. The inside play from Panna equaled out the big floaters from Jed who kept punishing the Beez with his touch around the hoop. But it wasn’t enough as the experienced KillaBeez veterans closed out the game in garbage time. Double Dunkers in 2nd now.
Chargers took the game second half from the Multiple Scoregasm in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Reggie K couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 37 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Tim S had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 13 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Brayden N heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 13 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , James UC going to work down low in the blender. 11 points on the sheet . Chargers still riding high in 1st place as they get back into the winning column after last weeks rare loss for them. Scorgasm looks great at times, getting a couple of good runs in to stop the onslaught from Chargers but by the end it was a constant chase for the lead and Scorgasms weren’t able to get enough stops. Reggie was too much for Scorgams this game almost dropping 40 on their heads. Can this man be stopped?
Div 2 had a couple of first time matchups and some old heads going at each other showing for a good night of ball in a stacked Div.
Fighting Mongooses got a good win on the Bricklayers , who underestimated the bigs of their opponent and copped a loss for it Zac owning the glass and taking names in the post with 17 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . G Bailey just too much experience shooting the 3 with 16 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Nathan R led all scorers on a solid 22 points but a loss unfortunately , Mitch J the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 5 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Mongooses looking foos and sit in 3rd spot after this game as the 7th place Bricklayers found a go to scorer that could bring them higher in the ladder as Nathan R topped the scorers, Mongooses had G Bailey start up with some big 3s which set the tone for the match and Blriclayers kept up the fight only go down to the well oiled machine that is the Mongooses!
BD Ballers took the game second half from the Ultra Instinct in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Brennan F got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 19 points to get over the line. . Rhys D finished the game with a commendable 9 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Jono C getting stats from everywhere including 12 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Hector A scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 10 points but a loss unfortunately . BD Ballers just too good on the chemistry end for Ultra whos 3 pointers weren’t landing as much and they copped the L for it this round. BD Ballers are in 4th place now and Ultra in 6th.
Wyangal Pirates ,right out of the gates, jumped on the Heat Check and with a big size difference, they went down this time Nick B with an epic performance and great score of 21 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Sam B weaved through the zone D with some nice footwork finishing on 14 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Tyla T was shooting well from deep with 21 points but a loss unfortunately , Speedy slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 13 points as he pitched in to add to the score. Pirates are looking strong in equal second after this match against he 6th ranked Heat check who couldn’t get their 3 ball going till later in the game. The rivalry born now with some chippy situations going down next time will be a revenge game that could go either way!
The Whoopsy Fudge Stripes shot the lights out against a helpless Cream City in a game that started close but ended one sided. Liam C channelled Kobe and wanted the win this time, getting 14 big ones to conlclude the mission . Jack O 9 & Paul R played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 9 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Tom got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 17 points recorded by the bench , Trent got a few buckets to go helping out the team with 9 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Cream City go down finally and lose their 4 game win streak, after a ripper of a start to the season undefeated till they faced the first seed Whoopsey who are on a 6 game winning streak and undefeated still. Whoopsey just kept running all game and pushing the ball into the paint, coupled with some 3s, they were able to take down the big effort from the jerseyless duo Trent & Tom.

Toby T was heating up as he bagged 7 points in the big dominating victory. combining for a a good total to out do the eventual defeated, whos scorers were; Ethan T had a pretty good game scoring wise with 11 points but a loss unfortunately , Jarrod M got to good spots on the court and shot well with 5 points worth of buckets in the loss.. . Feel Team 6 wanted this win!. This Matchup was 1st vs Last!!! Love Handles on a 4 game winning streak and were ranked first and Feel TEam in equal 4th. It was a solid matchup and the underdog got up as they hustled hard to start their climb up the ladder! Inside play was the key as they took apart the Love Handles with some strong moves.
The Generals knew what to expect when they faced Fun Guys and luckily scraped up a solid close out victory Jordan W couldnt miss much as he led his team with 11 points worth of buckets in the win. . A great start to this year for the Generals as they took advantage of the Fun guys who couldn’t keep up the momentum as they looked frazzled on some broken plays, the locker room chemistry showing up on the court and they copped an L this time around!
