Div 1 games this night were chippy and lower scoring, but still action packed and full of great structured basketball!
Double Dunkers grinded out a win in back and forth match vs Multiple Scoregasm but too many lost posessions resulted in a loss to their foes Jed P got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 17 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Seth G 11 & Peter T pitched in to add to the score with, 11 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, James UC with an epic performance and great score of 12 points on the sheet , Jay G pitched in to add to the score with, 10 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Double Dunkers scraping by on this win as the up and coming Multiple Scoregasm put in work again and shake up the champs in this game getting the score almost within reach by the end, But Jed P had a good game which boosted the Double Dunkers just a little more ahead! Double Ds sit in 2nd and Scoregasms in 4th.
The Bandwagoners had better offense than the defense of their opponent, Dream Team and it went to plan as they got a W on the backs of their scorers. Lach CR let it fly and hit more than missed with 12 points to shut the defense down. . Edward A 11 & Izaak W pitched in to add to the score with, 11 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Jayke Z slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 10 points recorded by the bench , Grant O 8 & Jerome T ended up with an efficient 8 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Bandwagoners were shocked by the hustle of Dream Team as they put in their forwards to crash the midrange with jumpers and the boards too, getting some great looks and 2nd chances, but Bandwagoners who are in 1st place. Werent to be taken off their path and were able to hold them off by 5 points this time! Dream Team in 3rd place.
Top Gunz Agents just able to get the win by a bucket or so vs Glass Eaters couldnt stop the unselfish offense they were faced with this game. Bailey VL couldnt miss much as he led his team with 15 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Reggie K also helped out in the win with 12 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Alex P heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 18 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Andy K just too much experience around the paint getting 12 points on the sheet . Top Gunz Agents faced these guys before but in a different form, the matchups were good and the score was tight all game, Bailey and Alex P going at each other scoring wise, Alex drilling jumpers, and Bailey down low getting paint points. Glass Eaters made a good run to get the lead, then Top Gunz Agents scraped ahead in the final moments and sit in equal 2nd, Glass Eaters in 3rd.
Div 2 has some up and down results, first time matchups that may surprise the leading teams!
Circle Dirk started strong and got the jump on Heat Check and was victorious this round, thanks to some players putting in work. John CH weaved through the zone D with some nice footwork finishing on 24 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Luke L pitched in to add to the score with, 14 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Speedy Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 16 points but a loss unfortunately , Joe B helped out with the load getting 6 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Circle Dirk was keen to get some buckets this game as they went at the break with maximum speed. And put up some nice triples which landed well. Heat Check did their own similar sort of damage, but wasn’t able to get stops that they need tonight, Circle Dirk momentum unstoppable as they sit in 2nd place to Heat Checks 4th.
Bricklayers went back and forth but held the lead most of the game against Fun Guys who werent ready for them this game. William P put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 20 points to get over the line. . Mitch J, Jasper, Ethan & in a great team effort, scored the same amount with 7 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Justin F had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 9 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Cameron F pitched in to add to the score with, 7 points but a loss unfortunately . Bricklayers look better every game as they lead the division with a 4-0 record. Fun Guys was looking to break that streak and get their own going, but some shots rimmed out and the turnovers mounted up giving Fun Guys the task of trying to catch up. Bricklayers stood strong and kept pushing the ball to Will who was a beat this game and they got the win.
Parrots matched up well against Ultra Instinct in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Sam T beasted hard this game finishing on a great 10 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Jack T helped out with the load getting 8 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Jake P slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 10 points but a loss unfortunately , Hector A 5 & Connor ended up with an efficient 5 points as he pitched in to add to the score. . Parrots had to come out flying this time as they face the mighty Ultra Instinct who have their forwards ready to shoot at any time, but this time the shots bounced out a bit, and the Parrots hustle overcame and won the day as they sit in equal 3rd… Ultra Instinct in 5th for now!
