PLAYOFFS have arrived, and this round it was the Quarter finals, where some clashing ranks had something to sort out, and some teams found the will to put up a big show and seal a spot in the Semis…
Div 1 had 5 teams in the Div and its only fair to give the 5th best team of Tuesdays an extra chance to summon the basketball gods’ favor and see if they can beat the 4th seed, it was the game of the round!
4th place KillaBeez with a huge comeback win being down most of the game against 5th place DoubleDunkers in a grind of a game coming right down to the last few minutes to decide the winner. Andy K getting stats from everywhere including 15 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Will G with an epic performance and great score of 14 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Jed P just too much experience around the paint getting 15 points but a loss unfortunately , Seth 7 & Will S played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 7 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . This game was epic, with Double Dunkers coming out of the gates with a hungry bloodlust for buckets, and they got them! Hitting 4 threes in the first few minutes to get up 14-0, a hole that Killa Beez would be chasing all game. It wasn’t until Will G hit 2 consecutive 3s to draw the score to within a bucket, and in a great team effort, everyone pitched in and they covered the gap and got up by 7 in the end, a valiant effort by Double Dunkers, a huge lead just unlucky down the stretch with turnovers which Killa Beez swarmed on and capitalized. Always a great fun game with these 2 friendly rivals, Double Dunkers go home early and KillaBeez take on Chargers in the next playoff round!
Div 2 had 1 game on the books and it was aresult no one expected as they 4th rank fought with the 5th rank to see who would get a chance to take on number 1 rank next playoff round.
4th place Whoopsey Fudge Stripes ,right out of the gates, jumped on the 5th place TestEagles in a clinic, taking advantage of lesser defensive matchup. Paul R got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 14 points to get over the line. . Jack O pitched in to add to the score with, 8 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Noah scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 10 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Kyle helped out with the load getting 4 points but a loss unfortunately . Whoopsey was Fudge Striping all over the Test Eagles this game as they got to work on the full court trap defense and some quick fast breaks which blew the game out nice and early, giving Test eagles an uphill battle to try and get buckets and get into firing range….But it never happened, with Whoopseys patented hustle and defense all over the Test Eagles they just had no answer for it, Whoopsey advance to the next round, and Test Eagles go home early after a season that wasn’t their best compared to the last, but still fought till the end.
Div 3 was stacked with games, close ones, with the rank 3 to 6 going at it to see who would meet with the higher ranks in the next playoff round!
5th place Shellharbour Warriors ,right out of the gates, jumped on the 4th place Parrots and it went to plan as they got a W on the backs of their scorers. Jake P put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 18 points to ensure they get the win this round. . David J focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 17 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, N Dunstan only was able to get a less than his average with 10 points but a loss unfortunately , Liam TR finished the game with a commendable 9 points as he pitched in to add to the score. Too big too strong, the Warriors come out with some heavy hitters and put some buckets away early with some big time defense to go with it, just stopping the Parrots from getting momentum forcing them to put up outside and mid range shots to keep the score close. But in the end the post work put in by the Warriors won out and the boards swung the victory their way. Parrots take an early break after a pretty good run this season, looking to the next one to get some wins in early!

The Generals had some fight in them and didn’t let up on the gas, with the young and old ballers putting big time hustle and work in to go for everything, and it was going really well, getting mid rangers to fall and some fast breaks which kept the game interesting as time went on. Generals were out done in the post and let too many threes go from outside when defending the Ultra instinct shooters ,and they ended up down by a handful of buckets once the final buzzer sounded, indicated an end to The Generals season and an advancement for Ultra Instinct to go to the Semis!
Next Round after Book fair is the biggest game of these teams seasons, unless they make the Grand Finals, where UBL Glory awaits the better team!
