Div 1had some blockbuster games and some big moments and some flashback of greatness couples with some big finishes, its all on with 1 round left after this one!
FAC ,right out of the gates, jumped on the Double Dunkers , who underestimated the hustle of their opponent and copped a loss for it Oscar S put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 24 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Jarryd let it fly and hit more than missed with 11 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Jed P couldnt miss much as he led his team with 14 points on the sheet , John F got a few buckets to go helping out the team with 6 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. FAC snap a 3 game losing streak. And keep their equal 2nd rank as they head into the final round next week. Double Dunkers are fighting for the 4th rank and havnt been able to get a streak together, this one was another one that they inadvertently let slip mod game as FAC kept pushing the break and slashing inside for the W this round.
Top Gunz with an amazing finish and win vs KillaBeez in and overtime thriller that kept the crowd waiting for the next bucket to close the game Jasper heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 16 points to shut the defense down. . Brent H the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 13 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Andy K couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 26 points recorded by the bench , Mitch L was shooting well from deep with 8 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . What a game!! Top gunz always a close game with KillaBeez who have been struggling lately to get some clean wins. Back and forth all game till on the last play Andy was fouled and sent to the line to hit 2 clutch free throws to force overtime, only to be overshadowed by Jaspers BIG 3 in OT which clinched the win for Top Gunz, a great moment for Jasper who will always remember this clutch winner putting away the defending champs.
Div 2 was feisty and worthy of a mention as they games got heated and heavy with intensity taking up 1 notch as the ladder can switch up next week with the double points round…
Multiple Scoregasm gets the W in a much needed and hard fought versus Test Eagles in a game that started close but ended one sided. Ali M just too much touch on the midrange shot with 25 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Michael H 11 & Jake played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 11 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Tim H going to work down low in the blender. 16 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Kyle scored well with 8 points on the sheet . Scorgasms on a tear and tearing up the paint with some expert dives and some nice dishes which was able to distract the Test Eagles in order to get unanswered buckets that got them the win in the end. Test Eagles still working on chemistry and getting some good plays and shots to go, as well as some solid offensive rebounds, but they couldn’t get enough stops and the Scorgasms were too consistent down the stretch and keep their 2nd rank. Fighting Ducks just able to get the win by a bucket or so vs Feel Team 6 in a loud and hectic game keeping refs active and players tense. Vikas C got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 24 points to his name as he helps lead the boys to a much needed win. . Ivan C was shooting well from deep with 16 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Jordan N heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 24 points but a loss unfortunately , Ryan M pulling up Js from the around the paint and beyond resulting in 18 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Ducks hit the win streak hard and get their 10th one to go! And with that they take the 1st rank this week and keep their hold on the division for now. This game was choppy and controversial, with many emotions flying around and many more buckets from both sides. The inside work of Prawns got the job done ans kept up the pace scoring wise as Feel Team slotted in threes and jumpers. Feel Team in 5th and Ducks are the team to beat…
Div 3 had some old rivals take the court and some other who face off again as they have previously in this extended season…the results may surprise…
Heat Check* were pumped to be playing Ultra Instinct and went back to the locker room with a solid Win. Jake S beasted hard this game finishing on a great 19 points to get over the line. . Warriors doing it like they are supposed to as they have been able to climb into the ranks that content for playoffs and keep their pace. This game they started out strong with some strong work from the versatile bigs who were able to get some jumpers and some easy putbacks to land and add to their scoring tally…Warriors in 6th And Bangwagoners just behind in 7th..
