The official end to the regular season for Season 10 f Tuesdays just went off! The games were tight and packed with extra hustle as the win could mean playoffs and the loss could mean an early holiday till next season…who had the extra effort to get up?
Div 1 was set to go off, with chippy games and some quick runs that kept the other team fighting for the lead all game, the scene is set for next week after this round, its going to go down!
FAC started strong and got the jump on Top Gunz and hustled harder getting the W. Jarryd channelled Kobe and wanted the win this time, getting 23 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Oscar S was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 19 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Doug K had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 21 points on the sheet , Brent H pulling up Js from the around the paint and beyond resulting in 20 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. FAC finish in 2nd place for the season, a big effort in the last half of the season to get some big wins on the board. This game had the FAC crew run the break and penetrate into the middle of the paint and pop mid rangers to get the scores up 2 at a time. Top Gunz were unlucky on some calls and lost some momentum mid game, giving FAC a quick chance to get a run which they defended and kept till the end, Top Gunz who finished just behind them in 3rd were unlucky this game but had a solid season and look to step up their game in the playoffs…
Chargers knew it would take more than buckets, they needed stops and that got them the win.. Double Dunkers in a grind of a game coming right down to the last few minutes to decide the winner. Reggie K put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 25 points to shut the defense down. . Tim S the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 13 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Lach & Seth wore the same jersey and also wore the same score…a 23 points recorded by the bench , Tim was feeling good with 13 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Chargers the ultimate winner of the regular season with a record of 15 win and 2 losses finishing on a 6 game winning streak to top the season off. This game was closer than the betting agencies predicted with some extra 3s put in from the DD guards, the problem came on the glass, simply out matched on the offensive boards, they copped at least 10 points of put backs which was the scoreline in the end. Double Dunkers just miss out and land in 5th place this season, a great effort by the boys but just short on some basketball god destiny luck with the ladder.
Div 2 had a few games and some big back and forths and answer backs to big shots as the teams fight for the ranks that will get them a more favourable matchup in the playoffs.
Fighting Ducks started strong and got the jump on Test Eagles in a loud and hectic game keeping refs active and players tense. Vikas beasted hard this game finishing on a great 22 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Ivan C Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 11 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Kyle had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 26 points but a loss unfortunately , Noah first step too quick for the guard defense on top totalling 10 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Fighting ducks always have a fighting chance, and fought down low for some fight worthy rebounds, outdoing the Test Eagles on the glass and getting some putback layups that Test Eagles tried to answer with 3s, and they got a few to go, but in the end the consistent scoring of Ducks was the decider, and with this game Fighting Ducks finish in 1st place and an 11 game win streak! Great season to the Ducks! Test Eagles creep into 5th place after riding the bottom rung most of the end of the season. These teams could meet in the playoffs again, who knows what will unfold next time!
Multiple Scoregasm were pumped to be playing The Whoopsy Fudge Stripes in a grind of a game coming right down to the last few minutes to decide the winner. James C owning the glass and taking names in the post with 12 points to get over the line. . Bryden had a pretty good game scoring wise with 7 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Wilko Lach scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 12 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Paul R pitched in to add to the score with, 9 points but a loss unfortunately . This game was lit, it had it all, with some paint action, sweet hooks, nice Js, and some big teamwork moments which took the game into a next level rush for the ball, Whoopsey playing almost full court D and pressuring the ball carriers, Scorgasms scraped out a win with Bryden hitting a go ahead shot to get the W! Scorgasms in 2nd place to finish the regular season and Whoopsey in 4th , this was a close matchup if they meet again, Whoopsey might have their number, time will tell!
Div 3 was stacked with must win games and some moments which were must make baskets, the big scorers made the difference this game and winners took the higher ranks!
The Bandwagoners undermanned but pumped up for the challenge vs The Generals and went back to the locker room with a solid Win. Edwards A getting stats from everywhere including 22 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Izaak W the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 18 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Jordyn W scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 10 points but a loss unfortunately , Bennett R finished the game with a commendable 10 points as he pitched in to add to the score. . Bandwagoners could hve gone the whole way if theyd started the season earlier, as they took the court full of beans and full of hustle, putting in work to fight off the Generals who were getting buckets from the mid range and scrapping for boards at every chance. Generals end up in 6th place, final spot in the playoffs as they grinded the season to pull equal rank. Shellharbour Warriors grinded out a win in back and forth match vs Ultra Instinct* and was able to get the much needed win. Jake P couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 29 big ones to conlclude the mission . David 6 & Mick played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 6 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Jono 9 & jordan P in a great team effort, scored the same amount with 9 points recorded by the bench , Hector 6 & Adam R pushed the break and went home with a tidy 6 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Warriors with the dream run going into the playoffs with a 3 game winning streak to carry momentum into the big knockout part of the season. Finishing in equal 6th spot, they take the 5th spot on wins and losses with 7-1..this game Jake P was a beast, and no1 could put a hand up to him as the Steven Adams style game he has just overpowered the defense and got hima big night and his team a close out win in the end. Ultra Instinct just short of the mark as their 3s weren’t falling and their usual flow offense just not enough to outdo Jake and crew for the W, Ultra in 3rd spot, a great season with many win streaks for them.
Heat Check wins a resounding victory over the unlucky Parrots and set the tone from the start, big mentions to the performers in this game. Jake S just too much experience around the paint getting 10 points to ensure they get the win this round. Speedy helped out with the load getting 7 points to get over the line. simply out working the other scorers being, Liam TR got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 22 points in this game. , Lindsay had a pretty good game scoring wise with 3 points in the loss . Heat Check taking the last game as a win and the Number 1 spot in the regular season. Their strong play outside and on the slashing angle was a big help all sseason, and although the 3s weren’t falling as well for everyone, they scraped out the win in classy fashion and snipe the top spot. Parrots have had a good season but had some losing streaks which was the reason they landed in 4th spot mid ladder. Parrots are a good playoffs team and know what to do when it counts, good luck to whoever meets them first round!
