Defending Champions SCOTS take on young guns Batteries Galore. SCOTS defend their title against Batteries as 2nd plays 3rd. In their last meeting SCOTS demolished the Batteries boys but there was no repeat of that this evening. Batteries played their normal game of streetball clutch shots whilst SCOTS utilised their knowledge and experience to hang tough through forwards Garello and the Pergers. A hard physical games kept in line by the UBL referees; as there were an abundance of turnovers and rebounds neck in neck for both teams.
Batteries Galore down most of the game but with big time shots but Jack and Hocking, the game was within grasp in the final minute. Batteries did a great job of limiting SCOTS MVP contender and downtown specialist Peter Rositrolla only to 1 basket, but Pete made up with a load of assists. In the final seconds of the game off a time out, played at half court, Batteries down by 3, Sam Hocking who was on fire at the time jacked a downtown buzzer beater to send it into OT…rims out, SCOTS win!!!
