Div 1 had some close calls and some unexpected results with some teams getting Ls that shouldn’t have, the break could’ve gone either way for some players, still trying to get into the flow of the game still…
Splash pounced on the defense of opponents, the MIB couldnt stop the unselfish offense they were faced with this game. Dr Lach E was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 21 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Christian let it fly and hit more than missed with 19 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. whilst on the other team, Jack H the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 23 points on the sheet , Ross 8 & Tommy V played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 8 points together as they go down in this matchup. Splash snap a 3 game losing streak. Splash were putting up Js and running the break like they were hungry for the win, and they got it, keeping the pace in their control they put a gap on MIB and even though MIB had things going from outside, it wasn’t enough to match the energy of splash this night..Splash in 6th and MIB just in front in 5th.
Shooters were pumped to be playing Bombers in a game that started close but ended one sided. Jeremy B weaved through the zone D with some nice footwork finishing on 20 points to shut the defense down. . Brooklyn 16 & Jake L felt it was time to step up and got 16 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Jerome T pulling up Js from the around the paint and beyond resulting in 7 points recorded by the bench , Bud G kept his eye on the hoop and ended up with 6 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Shooters sit in 2nd now with this win after bouncing back from their loss last week, and it was done in spectacular fashion with then paint and mid range controlled well on offense and they were able to get good stops on D, Bombers flat footed and still kept pushing the ball inside but the shots were just a little short tonight..Bombers in 4th.
Hogz went back and forth but held the lead most of the game against Streetfighters who werent ready for them this game. Azza P Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 23 points to lead to victory. . Johnny M channelled Kobe and wanted the win this time, getting 19 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Ethan L pushed the fast break and trasnsition offense resulting in 16 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Will G just too much experience shooting the 3 with 10 points on the sheet . Hogz and Streetfighters, the rivals take each other on again and it was to go the way of Hogz but not for lack of a battle, with the two teams pretty close 2st half, Johnny put together a run of 10 points mid 2nd half which put the game into lockdown with regard to who won. The patented Hogz 2nd half run just too much for the deflated Streetfighters to overcome this time, and they sit in 3rd in the div.
Div 2 had some solid games take place and some solid scores put up as team on all levels of the ladder try to get the extra possessions and extra points to get the Ws which matter later in the season!
Yo Mambas had its sights set on Yeah the Boys in a game that started close but ended one sided. Ali M got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 27 big ones to conlclude the mission . Oscar S started scoring later in the game but ended up on 14 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Brent J scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 12 points but a loss unfortunately , Grant C finished the game with a commendable 11 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Yo Mambas got the game won, but Yeah the boys looked great out there with some new structure and obv some new skills as they drained a lot of mid range shots and were able to find the open man for a good look at the hoop. The emotions were high this game with the physical nature of the game getting too much for some players, the line was visited many times as bigs went to battle and guards swiped for loose balls, Beez in 2nd and Buckets in 3rd.
Sugar Dunkertons was ready this time around for Lobstars who sit low on the ladder and need a streak to come together. Burchy was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 18 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Cam B pulling up Js from the around the paint and beyond resulting in 9 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Andrew C let it fly and hit more than missed with 8 points but a loss unfortunately , Doug K played well as far as getting 7 points as he pitched in to add to the score. . Dunkertons in equal 1st now and looking to consolidate that position by continuing their solid run of wins in the div, Lobstars equal 4th for now but have been in need of some momentum and a streak to keep in contention and push for higher ranks.
DIv 3 was full of good moments, some of the teams pushing it to the next level with all out hustle and a big showing of hunger for buckets. The ladder is close up top its anyones game.
Fumblerz needed an overtime thriller against the Ballers in a super close overtime battle decided by the final play, Neale P pulling in much needed offensive rebounds as well as 11 points to get over the line. . Danny B 10 & Dave G played well as far as getting 10 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Ivan C got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 26 points recorded by the bench , Austin B was feeling good with 15 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Fumblerz get away with a win in overtime this game as regulation time wasn’t enough to sort out who was better on the night. Ballers kept pushing it up the court and seemed to control the pace, but the half court patience and good matchups set by Fumblerz got the job done, Fumblerz in 2nd and Ballers in 3rd.
Bohica started strong and got the jump on The Kents in a highly defensive game. Nathe & John J wore the same jersey and also wore the same score…a 18 points to ensure they get the win this round. Jayke Z helped out with the load getting 9 points to get over the line. simply out working the other scorers being, Chris W couldnt miss much as he led his team with 16 points in this game. , Adrian W played well as far as getting 8 points in the loss . Kents undefeated 6 game win streak comes to an end as BOHICA shine in this matchup.. Bohica do the somewhat previous thought impossible, they beat the super fit kents this round by exploiting the very thing that makes them good. Pushing the ball up to the guards who zipped up the court and got some easy buckets to keep up the pace.
