Less and less games as the playoffs rolls into round 2 with the Semi Finals in Div1 and Div2…the top 4 go at it to proceed to the Grand Finals and UBL glory for Season 15!
Div 1 started off with great matchups and some interesting results!
3rd ranked Bellambi Bombers grinded out a win in back and forth match vs 2nd ranked Streetfighters and went back to the locker room with a solid Win. Andrew B felt it was time to step up and got 23 points to lead all scorers and get the win . Jed P pitched in to add to the score with, 16 points to get over the line. whilst on the other team, Mitch D pushed the fast break and trasnsition offense resulting in 24 points on the sheet , Trevor S had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 16 points together as they go down in this matchup. This was a physical game with a lot of big on the floor going at it in the mix down low, but Bombers kept up the 3 point attack, Boj hitting 3 after 3, and it wasn’t fallin for Streetfighters to kept the attack up inside and mid ranging. By the end Streetfighters were fighting for the lead and were behind by a couple baskets, end game controversy didn’t help as the Bombers took the game closing out in garbage time, a big upset as they take down the 2nd rank! 1st place Hogz had better offense than the defense of their opponent, 5th ranked Showtime Shooters in a loud and hectic game keeping refs active and players tense. Nate P just too much experience shooting the 3 with 17 points to shut the defense down. . Aza P weaved through the zone D with some nice footwork finishing on 16 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as J Bailey first step too quick for the guard defense on top totalling 17 points recorded by the bench , Ryan S pushed the fast break and trasnsition offense resulting in 12 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Hogz getting this one to go but not without a fight as the young cats got hungry and wanted to eat, keeping up the pace till the 2nd half when the patented shooting kicked in for Hogz and they got the W and another Grand Finals invitation for the #1 team this season, who can upset this dynasty?

Brodie L started scoring later in the game but ended up on 16 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Ziz Z couldnt miss much as he led his team with 19 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Grady H ended up with an efficient 16 points on the sheet . Dellys getting their groove on as they put their foot down and show why they are number #1 ranked in the regular season. Fellas kept up their slashing and threes but the team work and chemistry just too much from the Dellys as they handle their business and go tto the Grand Finals! Nice Dunk show at the end from the high flyers in this game!
2nd ranked The Mates got a good win on the 3rd place FireBallers in a clinic, taking advantage of lesser defensive matchup. Lachy CR getting stats from everywhere including 17 points in the big dominating victory. . Cam Bok got to good spots on the court and shot well with 16 points to get over the line. but on the other side Tom King top scored with 20 points as he was operating in automatic mode , Brad P had a pretty good game scoring wise with 11 points together as they go down in this matchup. . Mates just too good on the structure, getting open shots and stopping the plays that fireballers threw at them, and that told the story of the 2nd half, too many hands and too much hunger for the ball , Mates got up bug and Fireballers go home early after a great season to make the Semis!
Div 2 Grand Finals will be a good one, Mates vs DEllys, the clear standouts in the Div, this will prove to be a huge matchup and the tickets will be expensive! Get yours for free next week if you arrive before the tip!!
