Div 1 was raring to go and the matchups looked to be close ones, but it wasn’t as everyone thought!
Hogz took the game second half from the Showtime Shooters and knew it would be a test on their troops. Aaron P got to good spots on the court and shot well with 17 points to get over the line. Nate P felt it was time to step up and got 15 points to ensure they get the win this round. Despite a good effort by the other team as Brooklyn G pushed the fast break and trasnsition offense resulting in 17 points recorded by the bench , Ryan S kept his eye on the hoop and ended up with 16 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Hogz got a scare from the young cats comin up in the Div1, with every game getting better and more of a threat from all angles!! Hogz mad 2 runs late game to close this one out, some short shots by Shooters in crucial last couple of minutes giving Hogz the close out win.
Streetfighters were pumped to be playing Skyhookers who havnt been themselves lately. Trevor S let it fly and hit more than missed with 22 big ones to conlclude the mission . Mitch D also helped out in the win with 16 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Oscar S led all scorers on a solid 26 points hitting some ridiculous shots. , James M got to good spots on the court and shot well with 8 points to end his game . Clinic time as Streefighters notch another W on the depleted Skyhookers, looking good but not good enough to come back from the hole at the start, next time this one will be closer…
Div 2 had some easy games and some not so easy games; as top 2 teams matchup and the ladder spreads..
Prestige Worldwide wins a resounding victory over the unlucky Ballers in a clinic, taking advantage of lesser defensive matchup. Jack C getting stats from everywhere including 16 big ones to conlclude the mission . Lachlan C pushed the fast break and trasnsition offense resulting in 9 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Austin B scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 9 points which was required to keep up in this hectic game. , Russ F just too much experience around the paint getting 8 points as he pitched in to add to the score. Prestige get one to go and take advantage of the lower octane offense of the Ballers who were able to get some nice inside plays but free throws weren’t fallin and the Loss was awarded to Ballers this round.
The Mates went back and forth but held the lead most of the game against Dellys Disciples couldnt stop the unselfish offense they were faced with this game. Lachy CR got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 21 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Conor P kept his eye on the hoop and ended up with 9 points on the sheet the only resistance coming from, Fintan S played well as far as getting 19 points in the matchup that couldve gone either way. , Toby S felt it was time to step up and got 19 points in the loss . Fireballers get a challenge from the Splash boys who have their troops in play and look good on the break and the swing offense, Fireballers needed more from their backup players to get up on this veteran team…
Bohica went back and forth but held the lead most of the game against The Fellas who always bring their game. Dan M got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 25 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Murray O played well as far as getting 10 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Ziv scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 21 points in the matchup that couldve gone either way. , Brent was feeling good with 12 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Bohica close on this one, getting away with a scrape of a win as Fellas weren’t able to get close on the last few shots to get them a chance to tie…next game will be super close as this game was a steal by BOHICA!
Fumblerz shot the lights out against a helpless The Bandicoots and pushed it all the way to the end. Jerome couldnt miss much as he led his team with 26 points to ensure they get the win this round. Nitin A helped out with the load getting 12 points to get over the line. simply out working the other scorers being, Bodhi M getting stats from everywhere including 14 point game to contribute to his teams effort. , James C was feeling good with 13 points in the loss . FUmblerz getting their first win of the season and able to show off some new plays, Bandicoots did what they could as they pushed it all through their front court players, but this game it was just out of reach!
